Episode 68 - Goonies Shoulda Said Die

There's this stupid old joke about two certain things in life: death and taxes. But The Worst Adults would posit that there is a third: discourse. People love to argue. Problem is, Adam and Matthew are not very good at arguing. So they're really reaching this week as they try to discover the secrets to winning an argument. Along the way, they pick fights with children, try not to start any fires, break down strange happenings at the Super Bowl, use time travel to prevent alien invasions, wear chicken costumes, and spend far too much time explaining how to position your toilet paper!

Talking Points:

  • Cinematic slap fight! (00:00)
  • Debate captain! (05:15)
  • The Pepsi Challenge! (07:26)
  • All goofing aside... (10:05)
  • Matthew's latent arsonist! (13:35)
  • Anti-conflict bros! (14:24)
  • Stay on target! (18:10)
  • Standing your ground with Tom Brady! (20:44)
  • Physicality! (26:35)
  • Arguing with children! (29:11)
  • Distractions! (33:40)
  • Toilet paper orientation! (37:19)
  • The subtleties of time travel! (42:25)
  • Horse-size duck vs. house-size boy! (47:21)

As always, a huge thanks to Laura Hammond of XPwebcomic.com for the art, Bensound.com for the music, this week's contributors for hooking us up, and you the listener for taking the time! We love you! Share this with your friends!
