Episode 22 - Peeved

You might (read: you definitely won't) find this hard to believe, but we are basically grumpy old men. So we're just embracing it! This week we plunge into our own bad habits before addressing something even more important: other people's bad habits! We get onto people for leaving their shopping carts in the wrong places, chewing, and for trying to talk to us... It's misanthropic fun for the whole darn family!

Talking Points:

  • Listener scolding! (05:15)
  • Gum, interruptions, & repetitions! (06:39)
  • Books! (14:15)
  • Too inside my head! (18:35)
  • Procrastination! (24:43)
  • Gender beliefs! (32:13)
  • Shopping carts and walking! (35:45)
  • Smile! (40:26)
  • Mouth sounds! (44:28)
  • Be pragmatic! (48:45)
  • Issue ultimatums! (53:30)
  • Moon colony revenge! (54:38)

As always, we'd like to thank Bensound.com for our outro music, Laura Cooper of the webcomic XP for our show's art, our contributors for contributing, and you the listener for listening! If you have a chance, tell a friend and then head over to iTunes to rate the show and subscribe!

Episode 21 - Should I Stay or Should I Go

We're back! After a very underwhelming escape mission, Matthew is back in America for the foreseeable future, and that inspires us to focus on the topic of bailing. We ponder when the right time to quit is, how to do it, and where to go next. In the process, we politically motivate cupcakes, solicit Rebecca Black for a song, befriend meth dealers, expose One Direction for what they really are, and make a startling discovery about the earth! We hope you enjoy!

Talking points:

  • Recording difficulties! (04:00)
  • Matthew's exodus! (07:12)
  • America: The Last Four Years! (14:36)
  • Mr. Cupcake Goes to Washington! (19:28)
  • You should bail when... (21:37)
  • ...you're too tired! (23:58)
  • ...you no longer feel human! (31:09)
  • ...you die! (40:46)
  • Just do you! (46:49)
  • Head injury = trump card! (52:57)

The Worst Sampler I Know

Hey, folks! Things have been pretty hectic, so in lieu of a regular episode, this week you're getting a sampler. Getting into a podcast can be intimidating, and the beginning isn't always the best place to start. So we have cobbled together some of our favorite bits (and yours!) in a slightly-less-than-full-length episode perfect for newcomers! So if you've stumbled upon our podcast, start here! If you're a return listener, feel free to leave this file on any computer you encounter and force everyone you encounter to listen to it. That would be swell.

We'd like to thank some people who have helped us along the way. Bensound.com provides us with our outro music. Laura Cooper of the webcomic XP does our show art. And our loyal listeners keep us going. Thank you so much for helping make this podcast better and better week to week. If you've got the time, please head over to iTunes and subscribe to our show and drop a review.

See you next week!
